Autumn and Weston

I just took these pictures of Autumn. There are some really funny ones, which after loading the best pictures I realized the funny ones would have been just as enjoyable to look at. I can't get both kids to smile at the same time. I figure next time I will do it with Drew and each of us can work on one kid. I just focused on Autumn today...Autumn is showing me where her cheek is, Weston is smiling. This past weekend we went back up to Snowflake. Autumn has gotten to spend a lot of time with her cousins, and even though she didn't feel well when her cousins came around she was happy and ran around keeping up with them.
Joining in Ring Around the Rosie.
Sitting this round out...Lots of love!I love this picture of Autumn and her aunt. I don't know why everything is blurry but Autumn.

Weston's 1 Month Check-Up

Today we went in for Weston's one month well baby visit. It was a few days late because of all of our traveling. He weighs 10 lbs. putting him in the 50th percentile, which is great news! Autumn was always in the 20th or 10th, so it's nice to know Weston is gaining weight and is a healthy size. He is 23 & 1/4 inches long. He is in the 90th percentile for his height. No surprise there, he was 22 inches long when he was born, I figured he was tall. :) Also, his head circumference was in the 40th percentile. The dr. was pleased with all his numbers and is proud of his one lb. weight gain in two weeks. He got his second Hep. B shot, and did surprisingly well. Considering all I have to compare him to is Autumn, who never did well and took hours to comfort and calm down after getting a shot. He took probably 30 seconds to calm down. He is such a good kid.On Sunday Drew needed some quiet time and time to rest so I braved church alone with 2 kids. Weston was a star, he slept through all 3 blocks, making his first time at church heavenly; and Autumn went to nursery and played with no problems. I was glad we went. Here is Weston all dressed for church. For those not in town, who haven't heard, we are blessing Weston March 1st, we love that we will have 4 generations of Hardy's present. Weston's great grandpa is coming down from Vegas and it is very special to us.

A First for Weston

Here are photos of Westons first bath. It was awhile ago, but I am just now getting around to posting them. He loved his bath. Autumn cried during her first bath, Weston- like usual was very calm and just sat there. I put his tub on the floor so Autumn could see what I was doing and be a part of it. I love this one, he is so handsome to me:These are pictures from yesterday. Weston and Autumn were both sitting with Drew on the couch. Autumn loves her brother. Weston is hard to say, so she calls him, "baby boy." I am trying to teach her to call him, "little red." His hair has become more red than blonde.

I Am So Happy

Really? Can a person be this happy after just having a baby? When I was pregnant I totally forsaw myself being sad, sleep deprived, and frustrated (just like I was with Autumn when she was a newborn). But I made the comment to Drew the other day that I can't believe how happy I am, it hit me that the Lord truely knew I needed a kid like Weston. Had I have had another infant like Autumn I would be done having kids, this little guy makes me love having kids. We were getting the kids out of the car and we noticed Autumn didn't have her shoes on anymore. She hates socks and shoes (like her Momma) and takes them off at any opportunity when her feet aren't on the ground. Apparently, this is where she thought they should go.
The kid cracks me up too. Look at this. One leg under the blanket, the other over. How does he do this stuff? I love that he is a back sleeper, and sleeps through anything. And is awesome in the car. We still struggle with Autumn. But this kid! Passes out and you don't even realize he is in the car with you.
We have been very blessed with many meals, and many small acts of service. The past 3 weeks have been very good for us.
The next few weeks hold some more challenges with us, Drew is getting his tonsils out, and will be in bed for about 2 weeks. So not only do I get to care for 2 babies, but my poor sick husband will be on a liquid diet and unable to do most things. It saddens me to know he will be here at home, but unable to help me out (I am so spoiled...). We hope that with his tonsils coming out he will be a new man, and not be sick as often as he is. I love Drew and pray that this is the answer to all of his illness problems. Drew and Weston just hanging out.
