Autumns 2 Year Pictures

Tonight Drew and I went and tried to "recreate" Autumns 2 year photo shoot. We borrowed my in-laws camera thinking it would be better with motion shots than my camera (wrong- the girl is too dang fast and 1/4 of the pictures are blurry. Dad- I needed your camera!) I will give everyone just a glimpse of a "couple" of our favorites...but there are many many favorites. I have a friend in WY who does photography with her husband, they are going to do the editing for the pictures, and then my sister and I will dabble with some since she has a better software program on her hubby's computer than I do! So- remember, these are untouched pictures, and I will post them again once they are edited, cropped, and made even more perfect than they are. Thanks S.M. and S.S. for helping us out with that part!
(I had to sneak Weston in here...)

Okay okay, so there is more than a couple...but really- there are many more than this, but I only picked 11 out of all the ones I REALLY liked.

The RV Trip to Texas

A few weeks ago we went to Texas. It was so much fun, for once traveling with a 2 year old and 4 month old was a delight! A week before we left for Texas my parents drove their RV out here to visit and so we got to ride back with them! Autumn did really well (mainly because she wasn't restricted to a car seat the whole time and was able to stretch her legs more often than had she had been in our car) and everyone was able to lay down and sleep so that we could drive the 16 hours straight through. Weston and Autumn napped well and slept all through the night. It made the trip much more bearable.

We had a great time visiting my parents, and wished we could stay longer. Our original plan had us there 3 days longer but when we bought the plane tickets to come back we decided to fly back the day before Autumns 2nd Birthday so that we didn't have buy Autumn a plane ticket. Traveling by plane with 2 lap kids is difficult (for one you can't sit next to each other) and so we are glad next time Autumn gets her own seat, or we are only going to travel by RV. Just kidding.
I have a lot to blog about, but will start with photos of the RV trip there!

My 2 Year Old

I can't believe my little girl is 2! We went today to the dr. for her 2 year well visit. She is perfect! She is 34.5 inches (almost 3 feet) which puts her in the 75th percentile for height and she weighs 27.2 lbs. putting her in the 55th percentile. She is a growing girl with a big appetite!
We were in Texas for a week and flew home the day before her birthday (to spare the expense of having to buy her her own plane ticket) and so we decided to do just a family birthday, with the 4 of us. I had no time to plan or prepare anything and it was still a lot of fun.

Autumn got a lot of great gifts! Drews parents got Autumn a Disney Princess Table and Chairs Set, my parents got Autumn a Disney Princess Tea Set, Drews sister got her a Disney Princess dress, Drew and I got her Disney Princess crayons, A Little Mermaid board book, an Ariel dry erase board, an Ariel notepad, Ariel pajamas, 1 dress, 5 shirts, and Winnie The Pooh board books. Autumn loves the Princesses, especially Ariel.

I made a cake early Sunday morning (Weston is still adjusting to the time change) and had me up at 5:30 a.m. so I decided to make good use of the time and made the cake. It was a lot of fun. There are no pictures of Autumn eating the cake, she didn't want any. For dinner we had her favorite- hot dogs and french fries. It was nice to celebrate with just us, Drews sister stopped by later to give Autumn a gift and it was really nice to see her and have her celebrate for a minute with us.
Here is Weston watching me make the cake:
The table was all set so after church we could sit down and celebrate.Autumn fell asleep in the car on the way home from church- here is Drew and Weston ready to party:When Autumn woke up we had dinner:Time for presents! She loves the table! She loves the tea set too! I can forsee Autumn and Weston having many tea parties. The bag of clothes. Every time she pulled out an item she would look at it and say, "OH TOOT!" Which is, "Oh cute," in Autumn talk. It was hilarious. We wish we had pulled out our video camera for that.Just seeing Ariel makes her happy. This is the dry erase board:As soon as she pulled out the book she had to read it. I knew she would love it!Her pretty Ariel pajamas:Then once the notepad and crayons were pulled out she had to doodle. She is one busy girl:Weston sat next to us, and enjoyed the festivities. Her Pooh board books, another big hit!She immediately stops everything and reads them:Autumn couldn't sit still long enough for me to get a picture of her with all her stuff:Then Autumns aunt came by with a Princess dress.CAKE TIME!Drew eating cake:Drews sister eating the deliciousness:Autumn giving her Aunt a kiss before she left.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUTUMN!

The mall with Autumn and her cousin

Autumn really loves her cousin who is only a year younger than her. When I watched him a couple of days a week for a few months she got really attached to him. She gets so excited when I tell her we are going to get to see him.
My sister and I took our kids to the play area in the mall, it was pretty empty, a lady next to me said she thought it was because of the recent outbreak of the "swine flu." I enjoyed it. It was easier to keep up with Autumn when there weren't as many kids.
Both of them checking out the scenery from their desired stations!Autumn is a little busy body and in everyones business. When he played with a toy, she wanted to show him how to do it. She is going to be one bossy cousin, the joys of being older and a girl. :)
