Autumn

Autumn has not been herself the past few days, I blame it on her almost being 2 and the terrible two's which I knew we would have to eventually go through, but I was not ready...especially since I have a newborn too. Good thing Weston is so easy.
One thing that always cheers Autumn up is food, especially hot dogs. This girl loves hot dogs, like her daddy. After her nap yesterday I realized she hadn't eaten anything all day because whatever I had made her prior to that she would take a couple of bites of and spit it out. I think she was just being ornery...so alas I made her a hot dog, I knew she would eat it.
It cheered her up for the time being, while she was in her chair. I am all ears on suggestions on how to deal with the terrible two's. Drew took the first part of this week off to help me out, and then had to come home an hour early yesterday, she is driving me nuts. But I still love her! Just wish I could make her happy and figure out where all this whiney-ness comes from.
Today I am using Goldfish and Ariel to keep her quiet.

I love how she doesnt take her eyes off the tv to get "fish" and how she stands right in front of the tv.

We are seriously going through the same thing. Brinlee is out of control right now. Her favorite things to say are NO! Shhhh! and NO!!haha. Sometimes she is in time out like 5 times a night. It really doesn't seem to phase her though. This stage is def. hard so I completely understand. We are going to have to get together and do some brainstorming..lol!! I still love her to death and she has her sweet moments still...thank goodness!!

Watch Super Nanny. She is awesome! She has a book. My friend is using it to control her two crazy boys. I've heard of a lot of people using her techniques from the show.

So sorry to tell you but the terrible twos are nothing compared to the terrible threes. Jarrin s bday was wednesday and i swear something clicked in his head and turned him into a little monster. He threw his first fit in subway today, kicking, pounding fists, screaming, and hitting me as I stood him up to go to the truck, and all over a stupid bag of chips. Its beyond me what you are supposed to do with them when they act like that. He is so much more head strong at three then he ever thought of being when he turned two. Hope you have better luck. Let me know what you decide. Something HAS to change before we even talk about trying for number three. LOL

Ah the terrible 2's & then 3's. I love babies, and then I LOVE them after 4. This is definatley NOT what you want to hear, but from 2 - 4 is not fun. I'll try to think of some things with have done with our 4 & send you an email. Hang in there!

I so understand!! Hang in there! This age is hard for sure. Sadly, 3 is no better. My girls turn 3 next week and sometimes I think they are even worse now, then they were at 2. Will it ever end?! :) Jk, I know it eventually does... thank goodness! I don't have much advice except I use the "naughty step" which seems to work well for us and most importantly love her through it! She may be having a harder time b/c of the new baby too. Good luck!!

Maybe try a play group or something? But I don't know anything about two year olds. I still think they are fun and cute. Oh how that is going to change!

I love your moms comment. Kaden has been a bit more whiney lately, I'm just hoping it doesn't get too much worse. I've been tempted to get that super nanny book, it can't be too bad since her advice on the show is so sound. If you get it let me know what you think.
